Pilot Hero on the Hudson
Here at Airline Travel Sucks, we are constantly looking for positive Air Travel Stories.
Travelers experience so many miserable little things when flying, like long lines, grouchy airport staff, tired, hungry, and more.
That’s why it’s fabulous to hear about the pilot of US Airways Flight 1549, Chesley B. Sullenburger, who, on Thursday January 15th, 2009, and with the help of his heroic crew, saved the lives of 155 passengers.
So, let’s give them a little more respect when we are traveling.
Yes the airports and airlines can do it better, but in most cases it’s not their fault.
Lighten up and think about plunging into freezing cold water at high spped with your head between your knees and a 155 people praying for their lives.
The cramped seats, crowds, and other frustrations of flying might just seem a little less important.
